I am hosting a circle we're calling "the first hoop", a women's spirituality group that supports us in seeking and sustaining within that which is already there. We explore our images of god, ways of praying, faith in each other and the invisible, etc.
We meet the 1st and 3rd Saturday evening of the month from 7-9 pm.
How I'm different as a leader is that I've experienced the richness of diversity; I've recognized my need for solitude and rejuvenation; and there's more, but I'm not sure what it is.
Seeking and sustaining within that which is already there is what I feel passionate about. "On behalf of what do I feel myself now leading" is a good question which I haven't articulated until now. I feel myself now leading (actually serving) a spiritual imperative -- to know ourselves as one (with self, with creator/universe/she-who-gives-us-breath/god and with one another).
I consider myself to be part of this network and want to stay connected. I received an email today from someone in Portland who responded to the web article about our Tucson circle. He affirmed our work and doubts, and shared some possibilities that I'm eager to explore. This out-of-the-blue connection gives me encouragement!
